Passenger fares
Adult (12+): from $25 ECD · Child: from $15 ECD. A round trip is typically $50 ECD adult and $30 ECD child. Cash, card and cheques are taken on board.
The vehicle ferry to Majors Bay is priced separately by the size of the vehicle. For a day trip it is often simpler to travel on foot and arrange transport on the other side.
Times and how long it takes
The Basseterre to Charlestown passenger crossing takes about 30 minutes; the MV iConnect car ferry to Majors Bay takes around 40. Departure times change by day and by vessel, so check the live ferry schedule for the day you are travelling, and follow the boats on the live map while you wait.
Where it leaves from
Passenger ferries run between Basseterre Ferry Terminal in St. Kitts and Charlestown Pier in Nevis, in the centre of each town. The exact terminal for each sailing is shown on its schedule card. Arrive at least 30 minutes before departure, as boarding closes before the posted time.
How to buy a ticket
Tickets are bought at the terminal before you board, with cash, card or cheque accepted. There is no advance booking for the scheduled passenger ferry, so on busy days, around cruise calls and public holidays, arrive early.
Public holidays
Service on St. Kitts and Nevis public holidays can differ from the weekly timetable. Any holiday schedule appears on the schedule page automatically once the operator publishes it.
